Wisdom is A Tree of Life

If you google 'what is the Tree of Life?', you'll find a plethora of meanings, symbols, and definitions. In this blog post, I share a brief description of the image that God showed to me and give a couple of references to scripture.

The image God gave me (pictured below, in a very simplistic form) started me on a path over the last few years to study true Wisdom, the Fruits of the Spirit, Living Water (Jesus), and our identity in Him. The Tree of Life symbolizes so much. I really liked how this article explained it.

Revelation 2:7 says: Anyone who has an ear should listen to what the Spirit says to the churches. I (Holy Spirit) will give the victor the right to eat from the Tree of life, which is in God’s paradise.

Revelation 22:1-3a says: Then he showed me the river of living water, sparkling like crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb down the middle of the broad street of the city. The tree of life was on both sides of the river, bearing 12 kinds of fruit, producing its fruit every month. The leaves of the tree are for healing the nations, and there will no longer be any curse. The throne of God and of the Lamb will be in the city...

Lastly, Proverbs 3:18 - the verse that our new Wisdom collection is based around - says: [Wisdom] is a tree of life to those who embrace her, and those who hold on to her are happy.

The Tree represents our life
- it takes years to produce mature (spiritual) fruit, we must endure storms (traumatic things, extremely difficult experiences, etc) that may knock down a few branches (seasons of sadness, depression, recovery, loss, etc) and leave scars. Our roots (habits, foundation) must be firmly planted in the soil (our Faith in Father) and the water (Living water - Jesus) is what feeds the nutrients to the soil. In other words, when we have a relationship with Jesus, our faith in The Father is rich and thriving!

There are seasons of change - Rest, Work, Growth, and Letting Go (Grieving). Here in the Finger Lakes region of New York, our seasons are very pronounced. Winter is cold, still, and quiet - it's a great season to rest. Spring is rainy, and muddy, with signs of color and warmth on the horizon - this is a time of sowing. Summer is hot, active, and filled with work. Autumn is a time of harvest, comfort, and reflection, and our work starts winding down. I love watching the trees change with each season - it helps me feel at peace with nature.

This image helped me to have more realistic expectations for my life. A tree in nature starts as a teeny tiny seed, it grows, it doesn't escape the storms or difficult seasons, and it relies on nutrients (physical and spiritual) to grow. Sounds a lot like my life in a very simplistic form.

I'll be publishing a video on my YouTube and Rumble channels in the coming weeks about the image below that God gave me years ago. It's taken this long to put all the info together to actually explain it. So, stay tuned for that! If you haven't subscribed to my channels yet, please do so and you'll get notifications when I publish videos.
