The Pure in Heart are Blessed

The pure in heart are blessed, for they will see God.
- Matthew 5:8

The word pure means clean, guiltless, like a vine cleansed by pruning and fitted to bear fruit (of the spirit). It means to be free from corrupt desire, from sin and guilt, and to be innocent, and sincere.

When Jesus is speaking of pure 'in heart', He's speaking about the seat of our spiritual life, our will, and our character. He's referring to the seat of sensibilities, affections, emotions, desires, appetites, and passions.

As humans living on this earth, we know how easily our flesh can take over and allow worldly desires and passions to win over pure affections - the will of the Father.

The phrase 'shall see' means to perceive and know, to become or be acquainted with experience, and to actually experience something.

In other words, when the hard stance of our spiritual life is free from corrupt desires, and fleshly passions, and craves to be free of sin and guilt, we will experience God. Actually experience Him!

When our hearts aren't stained by or mixed with sin we'll see and hear and know God, Yahweh, the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords.

For now, we see indistinctly, as in a mirror, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then I will know fully, as I am fully known. - 1 Corinthians 13:12

Have you ever sat with Jesus? Like, you can see Him with your spiritual eyes and hear Him talking with you with your spiritual ears, and feel Him sitting next to you on the floor while you're bawling your eyes out? I have.

If you never have and you desire that more than anything - the experience of truly being with Him - then just ask. Ask Jesus to show Himself to you. In my experiences, I have to clean myself (body, mind, and soul) of all fleshly desires, unforgiveness, and worldly junk.

He comes to us when we are truly seeking to be pure and undefiled; He doesn't wait until we are pure and undefiled, because then He'd never come to us. How lonely would that feel? Maybe you know that feeling. It's terrible. And you don't have to stay in that place.

When the Spirit of truth comes, He will guide you into all the truth. For He will not speak on His own, but He will speak whatever He hears. He will also declare to you what is to come. - John 16:13

Dear one, you don't have to wait until you get to Heaven to see Jesus, to sit with Him, to talk with Him, to worship Him, to be with Him. Please, for the Love of God, don't wait until then! He's right here right now just waiting until you purely seek Him and His presence. I hope that you do that for yourself today. ♥
